I’ve been writing about financial services for more than 15 years — first as a journalist covering asset management for The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires, and then working directly with firms on content strategy and thought leadership.

My journalism experience taught me how to find the juicy angle even in complex or arcane topics. I know how to ask good questions, conduct thorough research and write stories that engage people. I won’t just parrot back what you tell me, I want to highlight what makes your approach different and how best to communicate that to the people you’re trying to reach.

I work with RIAs, asset managers, and fintech companies that want editorial guidance. My clients range from small independent firms to large global organizations. I develop content and content strategies that are tied to business goals, write thought leadership that differentiates firms in competitive markets, and provide editorial oversight.

As a writer, my work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fast Company, CNBC, Marie Claire, Real Simple and many other publications. I graduated from Pomona College with a B.A. in English literature.

Some fun facts about me, in no particular order:

• I spent a decade in Greater China—eight years in Hong Kong and two in mainland China.
• I’ve gone scuba diving with sharks! Yes, it was terrifying.
• I’ve been going to CrossFit for five years. I love it even though I’m extremely mediocre.
• I’m a mom to two boys, two cats and a velcro dog.
• I’m a big Gilded Age history buff and have visited many, many Vanderbilt mansions.
